JAMES RIVER HOUSE
Twin River Outfitters has now opened the "James River House". Our historic inn dates back to 1870 and has been completely renovated to provide a unique lodging experience. The inn features 5 guest rooms, each with their own private bathrooms. The inn also includes a formal living room, dining room, court yard, and kitchen.
Located in historic downtown Buchanan on Main Street, the inn is less than one block away from our canoe livery and the James River which makes it the perfect place to stay if you are visiting to enjoy the river. The James River House is located within walking distance to six different resturants, the town swinging bridge and numerous shops making it a pleasant place to spend a weekend. The inn is also close to a variety of attractions such as Natural Bridge, Safari Park, Natural Bridge Zoo, Lexington, The Appalachian Trail, National Forest, Peaks of Otter, The Botetourt Wine Trail, and much more.
The inn is available for rent on a room by room basis or for the entire house. The inn's five bedrooms comfortably sleep up to 11 guests and, if your group rents the entire house, can comfortably sleep up to 14 guests.
